Fun with mammutico - excursion to the volcano

Fun is the basic activity of every child! Until recently, when we talked about playing children, we were thinking about jumping into a flat tire, warm-cold, building houses in the garden or such cards. Today, fun often comes down to games on the tablet, console and computer. There, children can experience amazing adventures, move to another world and do unique and magical things - of course, this is the theory of their parents ...

We have a different opinion! We know that children can experience amazing adventures without the help of multimedia. For this they just need children's imagination and ... of course Mammutico blocks!

Trip to the island of Krakatau

How about a trip through the Indian Ocean, to exotic Indonesia, to a small island where at the foot of the Anak Krakatau volcano we will start our adventure? "Anak" in Polish means as much as a child, because our volcano also has its dad.

Let's build this volcano now so that it's easier to imagine it.

You must know that the Anak Krakatau volcano is still active - it regularly smokes, releases lava and volcanic ash. Almost a century ago, he emerged from the ocean between the islands of Java and Sumatra and is still growing! Every year it's higher by another 5 meters! We could try climbing to the top of the volcano, but it is not always possible. There are days when Anak Krakatau falls asleep and lets the brave look inside. But most often you can swim to him only on the boat and watch the smoke explode from this huge crater.

Over 130 years ago, the father of our volcano, simply called Krakatau, caused huge damage with its eruption! One sunny day at noon there was a huge eruption that lasted all day and all night. Huge amounts of dust stones and gases were thrown into the air from the crater. For hours, the volcano was shaken by explosions, which could be heard at a distance of over 3000 km. That's more or less the same as from Poland to Turkey, and even further! The volcanic eruption also caused huge waves in the seas and oceans. The largest had a height of up to 40 m and could completely flood a 10-story tower block.

Today Anak Krakatau seems calm. So we can try a trip to the top of it to look into the crater and see what's inside.

We sail to the island by boat, moor it by the shore and continue on foot. Just in case, we take boards with us, from which we may build a crater bridge. When we reach the foot of the volcano, gray smoke begins to explode from the crater and everything shakes! So he woke up again! The hot lava that Anak Krakatau spat out flows at enormous speed and floods the entire island. We must reach the boat as soon as possible so as not to touch the lava. It's good that we have boards with us! With their help, maybe we can get to the shore. How? Try to think of something and remember - everyone must be safely back in the boat!

Thanks to Mammutico blocks, every game can become an adventure!
