What are SmartQubes blocks?
We’ve never written about how to play with Mammutico blocks, and we don’t plan to 🙂 Nevertheless, our small, unassuming Mammutico blocks have certain advantages that aren’t immediately obvious.
How can you play with them in preschool?
Here are 3 very compelling reasons why our little foam blocks are amazing!
Mammutico’s foam sticks together when wet. With large pieces from big sets in your hands, it’s hard to take advantage of this feature. With small blocks, however, it’s invaluable! Kids love playing with water, so we’re convinced that sticking simple blocks together like Minecraft pieces will be a fun activity for them. The blocks will only come apart once the foam is completely dry.
SmartQubes in therapy and education
When exposed to water, the foam sticks to flat surfaces. This adds even more magic for the little ones. This activity is perfect for the bathtub or pool. Wet, floating foam blocks can be stuck together, as well as to the bathtub, tiles, mirror, and even a regular wall! This play can result in some truly interesting 3D structures…
Yes, it’s completely safe. SmartQubes are extremely light, so it’s hard to throw them fast enough to hurt someone. Young children don’t have enough strength, so a cube thrown by them can hit another person painfully. All it takes is keeping a distance of about 2 meters from another person and a little common sense from an adult to organize a truly exciting battle. Snowballs, paper balls, or other “war” ammunition certainly won’t be any safer than our lightweight foam cubes. As we all know, kids love this kind of play and competition, so it’s best if it’s pain-free 🙂
