Maintenance of components

How to care for your Mammutico® gear — simple and quick tips for maintaining your foam gear.

3 simple rules for caring for foam components

Disinfection.

The quickest way to disinfect them is to spray the blocks with a disinfectant. Depending on the type of detergent, you may need to wipe down each brick with a cloth. Washing larger pieces, such as bricks or tiles, is no problem at all, but for smaller parts, a bathtub or a kiddie pool works perfectly. You can add a disinfectant or simply soap to the water.

Quick-drying.

MammuticoFoam™ doesn’t absorb water and dries very quickly, so you don’t have to wait long for the clean blocks to be ready to play with. To speed up the drying process, simply wipe the surface of the blocks with a dry cloth.

Test the measures.

The vast selection of disinfectants makes it impossible for us to test all available products, so we recommend testing them on a small section of the foam each time. So far, we haven’t found a product that would negatively affect the foam’s structure or cause discoloration, but it’s worth checking for yourself.

Information contained in the Mammutico® product manual

Loose parts of the "Mammutico" sets and plastic packaging (if any) can be washed with water, a mild soap solution, alcohol-based disinfectants, or a steam cleaner.

A soft sponge can be used to remove stains or dirt. For children’s safety, the use of strong cleaning agents (e.g., chlorine-based) is not recommended.

Test the cleaning agent on a small area of the product first.
