Inclusive playgrounds – guidelines

In 2013, the CEN/TR 16467:2013 report was published, which has become an important document in the design of modern, inclusive playgrounds. Developed by the CEN/TC 136 Technical Committee, the report emphasizes the need to design play spaces in a way that takes into account the needs of all children, regardless of their motor, sensory, or intellectual abilities.

The guidelines contained in the document indicate that playgrounds should not only ensure safety and physical development but also support creativity, cooperation, and social integration.
