On Saturday, May 19, we were guests at the “U Nas O.K.” festival in Otrębusy. It was a grand celebration, as the town was marking its 600th anniversary. We had the opportunity to be among the distinguished group of invited guests. We love watching children play with our giant building blocks, and there was plenty to see that day 🙂

The festival began with the playing of the bugle call, and the Mazowsze dancers led the guests and residents in a traditional polonaise. The OSP Orchestra from Nadarzyn marched in a parade down Wiejska Street to the Park, where they then performed a beautiful concert. One attraction followed another for children, teens, and adults.

As it happens, although the “Mammutico” blocks are among the attractions for children, there were also plenty of parents in our “little garden.” Building is very addictive 🙂 Adults always try to help the kids with some big, complicated structure, which usually ends with the little ones going ahead and building their own vision anyway, while the parents stick to theirs—and have a great time doing it!

Thank you for the invitation, and we hope to visit Otrębusy again next year for another fun picnic.
