BlocoLoco Opens a New Location
Another BlocoLoco location has opened. This time in Kraków. It’s truly unique, which is why we wanted to give it some attention.
BlocoLoco The Kraków location was built on the outskirts of the city, near a large residential neighborhood. The choice of location turned out to be a really good one. Although Covid-19 restrictions delayed the opening, local residents had been waiting for months and began visiting the facility in large numbers as soon as it opened. At first, only the dining area was open, but after just a few weeks, the other activities began.
Residents of the nearby neighborhood finally have their own meeting place. The venue is open 7 days a week. Adults can meet up for coffee or a good meal while the children play with blocks in a safe environment. However, if parents want to spend time playing with their kids, there’s no problem. The place has really won over customers from the neighborhood. Here are a few reviews posted on the “BlocoLoco” Kraków fan page:
Building Blocks in the Heart of Kraków

“A really cool place for both parents and kids, even the littlest ones. I highly recommend it!”
“Very pleasant atmosphere in the shop and delicious ice cream! We definitely recommend it!”
“Very pleasant atmosphere, the owners have a great attitude toward our children, a family-friendly atmosphere, and the decor and equipment are tastefully chosen and child-friendly. Hmmm, a varied menu with excellent flavors, ice cream with unique flavors. In a word, keep it up”
“Very pleasant atmosphere, great food, and excellent service”BlocoLoco’s Kraków location offers not only a dining area and a play space with giant building blocks, but also a wide range of other activities. There are, of course, creative workshops for groups, birthday parties, day camps, and winter break programs. Sports enthusiasts have plenty to enjoy as well—both young and old. The list of activities includes ballroom dancing, belly dancing, Tabata, spine health, stretching, Pilates, Zumba for kids, and yoga for kids. The owners are very flexible, and the studio’s offerings are designed to meet the current needs of the community.
Starting in September, children ages 4 to 10 can sign up for English lessons. The course is called SIMPLE English, and all lessons are taught without books or notebooks!
Plans for network expansion
Children come to class and, while playing with large building blocks, learn to communicate in a foreign language. During lessons, they use the blocks to build sets and props needed to complete tasks related to the lesson’s theme—for example, a restaurant table, a store counter, a ticket booth, a train station, a doctor’s office, a wardrobe, clothes, etc.
“Children learn through play—it’s not a cliché, it’s science.” — Dr. Anna Kowalska, educator
In this setting, young students fully immerse themselves in the given situation. This helps them memorize vocabulary and communicate using complete sentences. Children explore vocabulary topics and use grammatical structures by following the teacher, according to a specific lesson plan.
You can find more on this topic in the SIMPLE English Teaching Method tab.
