The AIRO Playroom and Its History
We recently visited the Airo entertainment center in Warsaw. In this out-of-this-world place, our large foam blocks serve an integrative purpose, as this is the only area where parents can create something together with their children.
The Airo Playroom is divided into two zones. The first part consists of a large trampoline park for older kids and adults.
The second part is a huge playroom for the youngest children with a very space-themed decor. In this interplanetary space called Space Kid (as this zone is named), there is also room for an incredibly designed block area featuring the giant foam blocks from Mammutico.
“Safety and creativity aren’t mutually exclusive. Mammutico is proof of that.” — Małgorzata Stępniak
Why did they choose Mammutico?
In keeping with the theme, children can feel like they’re in a distant galaxy even in the block room. The atmosphere of this place is created by imaginatively designed wall murals and perfectly selected sets of large building blocks—not only in terms of type but also color scheme.
One of the reasons for our visit was to film a few shots of the children playing. All of this so that by the end of the year, we can present you with a promotional video showcasing the various facets of Mammutico’s giant foam blocks.
We also took a whole bunch of photos while we were there, because the place is so “awesome” that the camera was practically burning in our hands.
We also managed to speak with Emilia Walendowska, a marketing specialist at AIRO. Emilia told us a bit about the role these giant blocks play in this truly massive play space and why it’s so unique.
Mammutico: What prompted you to purchase the large “Mammutico” blocks?
Emilia Walendowska: We wanted to create a completely new creative zone for children that would expand the boundaries of their imagination. We came up with the idea of a space engineer’s workshop, where kids could build their own rockets and other vehicles. And so we chose the giant Mammutico foam blocks.
Impact on attendance and customer satisfaction
M: And what were your expectations regarding these blocks?
EW: Thanks to the variety of pieces, children can combine them freely and create unique structures. Interestingly, there’s no set formula here. Children plan their projects on their own and then bring them to life. We wanted them to develop their imagination exactly this way.
M: Have your expectations regarding the Mammutico sets been met?
EW: The set we purchased for the Space Kidi interplanetary space is working out great. It’s just a cool attraction. And I’m not just talking about individual customers. The giant blocks have opened the door for us to introduce completely new activities for preschool and birthday groups.
M: Is there anything you didn’t expect that surprised you?
EW: We were very pleasantly surprised that parents often get involved in playing with their children in our block play area. This zone has become a special place for shared family fun.
We’d like to thank the following for participating in the session and the video: Jagoda, Wiktoria, Mikołaj, Henryk, and Albert 🙂
